2025 Gig Harbor Garden Tour

June 28 & 29

Saturday 10:00-5:00

Sunday 11:00-3:00

A big thank you to everyone who attended our 2024 Gig Harbor Garden tour.  We raised over $25,000 that we will now use to promote literacy in our community

The Gig Harbor Garden Tour is a self guided tour of 6 gardens in the Greater Gig Harbor Area. Each garden has a unique story to tell that reflects the gardener's heart and style. The variety, artistry, design. and color will inspire you.

When you purchase a ticket at one of the ticket outlets or online you will receive a ticket booklet that will include descriptions of and directions to the gardens. Ticket booklets will be mailed to online ticket purchasers.  Your ticket will admit you to both days and to multiple visits to the same garden.

Literacy Grants Awarded Last Year

The Gig Harbor Garden Tour Board recently announced the awarding of Literacy Grants from the proceeds of the June 2023 Gig Harbor Garden Tour.  A total of $22,000 was awarded to 5 community groups and 4 elementary school projects.

The Harbor History Museum is updating a Native Language Station in the museum.  We are funding some middle schools girls’ attendance at an AAUW sponsored summer science camp.  We are helping the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula Libraries distribute books to children at an Out reach program at local food banks and shelters.  We also supply books provided by Pediatrics Northwest to children during wellness visits to encourage parents reading to them.  We are partnering with Altrursa to purchase books for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which mails a book each month to children in our community.

School projects include providing literacy station materials for Harbor Heights Elementary School and literacy book sets for Purdy Elementary School.  We are also providing phonics learning materials for the kindergarten, 1st grade and special Ed teachers at Pioneer Elementary School.
